🧘‍♀️ Being + 🚶‍♀️ Action = Intentional Integration

Happy Valentine’s Day, Sweet Soul! 💖

This month, I’m exploring how Being + Action = Intentional Integration.

As we celebrate love today, I want to invite you to think beyond romantic love—what about self-love? Not in the cliché, bubble-bath-and-face-mask kind of way (though those are great!), but in a deeper, more sustainable way—the kind of self-love that comes from awareness, aligned action, and honoring your whole being.

Because self-love isn’t just about rest or indulgence; it’s about integrating habits that support your growth, well-being, and purpose.

And for me, this has meant learning to balance stillness with action, and presence with progress.

As 2025 began, I felt fired up about my fitness goals. Like many, I was ready to hit the ground running—literally. But very quickly, I felt the weight of expectation—not just from my workouts, but in managing my energy, my business, and my personal life.

At first, my motivation was fueled by fear—the urgent desire to reverse my Type 2 diabetes. I was hyper-focused on what I needed to fix. But through deeper reflection, I realized something powerful:

What I focus on expands. If I focus on fear, I’ll attract more fear. But if I focus on love—on showing up for myself with intention and care—my actions will be fueled by something more powerful than fear: self-love.

So I shifted my approach.

🧘‍♀️ I already practice being present—that’s why meditation is my non-negotiable habit.
🚶‍♀️ Taking action is second nature for me—it’s how I build and run my business.

But integrating the two? That required strategy.

And that’s when habit stacking became a game-changer.

Quote of the Month:

"Acts of self-care are acts of self-love."

(Rhonda Britten, Fearless Living)

Being + Action: The Power of Integration

Instead of compartmentalizing my priorities, I started integrating them.

And that realization led me to rethink how I approach my daily life.

💡 Integration isn’t just about intention—it’s also about being pragmatic with my solopreneur lifestyle. Fitness needed to fit seamlessly into my life.

💡 Self-care isn’t just about pausing—it’s about overcoming fear, learning to listen to my intuition, and aligning my daily actions with my higher Self.

This idea of self-care as a form of self-love has been sinking in deeper for me. It’s not just about the big, sweeping acts of change—it’s about the small, consistent ways we show up for ourselves each day.

✨ Integration is threefold:

🔹 It’s about tuning in—connecting to my higher Self through stillness and intuition. This is where I check-in during my meditations:
✔️ What does stillness feel like in my heart?
✔️ What does stillness feel like in my mind?
✔️ How does it show up in my breath & body? Where do I hold tension, and what is it telling me?

🔹 It’s about taking action—integrating self-care habits with intention, consistency, and most importantly—with compassion.

🔹 It’s about trusting the process—shifting my attention from my head-space or fear to trusting that my power is in the present moment.

And speaking of self-love over fear, I recently interviewed Rhonda Britten, author of Fearless Living!

Integration in Action: From the Pages of My Solopreneur Diary

As a solopreneur, my days are filled with deep work, creative tasks, heavy production, and some client engagement. And while I love what I do, I’ve realized that the very nature of this work can make it easy to neglect my own well-being. Long hours at my desk, the mental load of running a business, and the emotional energy required to hold space for others can take a toll.

For years, I poured everything into building my dreams, but I wasn’t pouring enough into sustaining the body and mind that make those dreams possible. I knew I needed to take intentional action around my physical movement—not just to reverse my Type 2 diabetes but to support my energy, creativity, and emotional resilience.

And then it clicked:

💡 Walking became my bridge.

🚶‍♀️ Instead of seeing fitness as a solo effort, I stacked habits with meaningful actions:
✔️ Walking to the school bus stop = Getting in movement while being fully present when my son gets home.
✔️ Long family walks on the beach = Deepening our bond while hitting my step goals.
✔️ Power walks while listening to inspiring podcasts = Strengthening my body while feeding my mind.

And along the way, something unexpected happened—I started noticing the moments of stillness, presence, and awe.

As my husband and I were driving out of our neighborhood toward the ocean, this breathtaking sunset stopped me in my tracks. We pulled over, and I captured the moment—one of many moments of self-love that I am now often more aware of during my walks.

These moments remind me that self-care is not just about grand gestures but about pausing to witness beauty, presence, and gratitude.

Capturing moments like these has shifted how I see practicing fitness. It’s no longer about checking off a workout or chasing an outcome—it’s about integrating movement into my life in a way that nourishes my body, mind, and spirit. By aligning my movement with my why, I’m not just taking action—I’m fully present in the journey.

Key Insight:

Being + Action = Integration requires practice.

Here’s the thing, my friend: integration is the work. It’s easy to talk about balance, self-love, and alignment, but the reality? It’s about actually practicing the work to live in alignment.

🔹 Awareness is the first step. But true awareness isn’t just about noticing what needs to change—it’s about sitting with it before jumping into action.

🧘‍♀️ Stillness creates clarity. Meditation has been my anchor—sitting with my thoughts, observing patterns, and allowing stillness to reveal my next right step.

🎯 Intention fuels aligned action. This is where I remind myself: I don’t just want to act—I want to act with purpose.

Try This Tip: Practice Intentional Integration

  • 🔹 Start your day with 5 minutes of focused breathing or a simple mantra like I AM.
  • 🔹 Before diving into a task, pause to ask yourself, “What’s my true intention here?”
  • 🔹 Reflect each evening: “Was I present in my actions today, or was I simply doing?”
