In our latest podcast episode, From Burnout to Balance: Energy Awareness, we tackle a pressing issue that resonates deeply with many high-achieving women—often, we find ourselves in a state of energy crisis without even realizing it. This crisis can manifest as anxiety and a familiar struggle with fight, flight, or freeze responses.

Gabrielle Pimstone beautifully articulated, "Resilience is not about bouncing back from adversity; it’s about being less affected when adversity strikes because you're coming from a higher base."

This really hit home for me. It reminds us that true resilience isn't just about getting through tough times; it's about building a strong foundation so that when challenges arise, we can navigate them with more grace, resilience, and ease.

Similarly, Dr. Mary Sanders shared her experience: "I pushed myself to the limit of adrenal exhaustion... my mindset conditioned me to push through for the sake of achievement."

Her words resonate deeply, especially in a society that often glorifies relentless hustle. It’s a powerful reminder that pushing through without care for our well-being can lead to burnout.

While I left the corporate world driven by the desire to be my own boss, I, too, faced burnout. I’ve learned that escaping one situation for another doesn’t change our ingrained patterns or internal conditioning. The truth is, in building this entrepreneurial business, I have encountered extreme burnout and this time around I am leaning on the Energy awareness & Mastery tools I am creating for myself and others.

I’ll share more about this in a future newsletter, but for now, I want to offer three essential tips:

  1. Listen to Your Body - Start connecting with your somatic awareness.
  2. Tune Into Your Patterns - Pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, perceptions, behaviors, and reactions.
  3. Slow Down for Self-Care - Engage in basic breathwork, meditation, or mindfulness practices. Remember, the first step is awareness.
