He explains how trauma often lives on through sensations, emotions, posture, and nervous system patterns — even long after the story fades.

Likewise, the HeartMath Institute teaches that the heart isn’t just a pump — it’s a sensory organ that communicates with the brain, shaping how we think, feel, and heal.

In other words:
Awareness begins in the body. It lives in the heart.
