Let’s rewind for a moment.
At the start of this year, I intentionally planned for a season of pause.
Not to check out — but to check in.
To realign before the next pivot.
To dial in to what truly matters.

I even chose September as the moment I’d pause and ask myself,
“How’s the dial-in going?”
Was I listening to my heart?
Or slipping into old patterns of rushing, fixing, bracing?

What I didn’t plan for…
was just how many real-life moments would test that pause — especially navigating my father’s health journey.

It reminded me how easy it is to brace.
To get ahead of the discomfort.
To lead with the mind instead of the heart.

And while bracing may seem like a sign of strength, it often signals something else…

A nervous system waiting for the next crisis.
A body caught in old stories.
A heart trying to protect itself — but craving safety.

And the truth is, that bracing? It can become a habit.

Especially for high-achievers and caregivers who are used to staying “on” for everyone else.

But here’s what I’ve been learning:
Bracing is a protective pattern.
Rewiring is a practice — one that begins with awareness, and returns us to resonance.

So this week’s episode invites a gentle reset:

A reminder that we don’t just need to change the narrative — we need to rewire how we feel the story in our body.
